5 ways to reach your goals

New Year is synonym of new you. In January, we decide to get our life together and make up our mind to stay on track. However as the months go, we tend to forget our passion and loose motivation : this shouldn't happen this year! I know you have enough will and power to achieve your incredible dreams. That's the reason why I'm sharing these few tips on how to keep focus on your goals and how to reach them!

"Success comes to those who dare to begin."

WRITE THEM DOWN
We often get confused when it comes to accomplishing goals. To ease our minds, we first need a strong foundation. To build it, my advice is to write down all of your goals. Not only by writing you're more likely to achieve them, but it's also a great reminder to stay focus each time you're feeling down. Take a notebook and keep it by your side : bring down onto the page all of your thoughts and ideas, whenever something inspires you or whatever you want to accomplish. You'll have a clearer view of what you'd like to achieve throughout the year and it'll be much easier to walk in the right direction.

BE SPECIFIC
Big goals can be scary and achieving them is a long journey where we can get lost numerous of times. In order to make your goals much more attainable, break them into smaller ones and be specific. What do I mean by "being specific"? It's all about numbers and facts. You should use thresholds in order to figure out if you're improving or not. Let me give you an example : your professional goal for the year is to grow your blog - then your first threshold would be to reach one thousand visits at the end of the month. As time goes, you'll have a clear picture of your progress and you'll know in which area you need to do better.

DO NOT GIVE UP
Your will is important. If you want it bad enough, things will eventually come your way. Be consistent and never give up! Keep going no matter what - even if things don't work out, you'll have learned something along the way for sure! Besides, whenever you're feeling down, look at what you've done so far and remember that it would be a shame if you stopped now. Go out of your comfort zone and stay focused... don't be afraid of failures - they are a sign of progress.

"Build your own dreams, or someone else will hire you to build theirs."
Farrah Gray

BE FEARLESS
Don't let the opinion of others lead your life : you only have one and you've got to make it worth it. Achieve what you'd like to achieve and do not care about what other people might think. “You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world, and there's still going to be somebody who hates peaches”. Share your passion with other enthusiasts and enjoy every step of your new adventure.

REEVALUATE
People change and so do you. Keep doing this exercise of writing your goals, dreams, to-dos or things you'd like to experience over the months. You'll see that throughout the year, your goals might have changed, maybe a lot! That's perfectly fine! You were strong enough to start somewhere and it evolved the right way.

Be ready to make 2017 even better than last year - you now have all the tools and advice to rock it! Be successful and empower people around you : because you're the best and I believe in you!

  4. Hey,
Oh mon dieu, ta citation m'a frappée.

  5. I never really make goals, but last week I realised I had gained a lot of weight in the past 2 years, even if I workout once a week (something I never usually did). So I decided to do something about it!
I track my progress in a notebook and it's really useful :) Thank you for your tips Laura <3

    1. Think also about what you eat - it has a huge impact on our bodies too. If you have the time, try to do a quick work out every day. Only 20 minutes is more than enough (Gym Direct is really great by the way and it's french).
