Beware, this is an unusually long blog post - veeeeery long. If you're ready to hop into a few years of my life get yourself something to eat or a cup of tea and let's get into it! This post is acutally a tag called "Blogger Recognition Award" : I got nominated by the lovely blogger of Douces Effrontées. First off, thanks a lot for thinking about me! Don't forget to check her blog... Basically, we have to share why we did start blogging and give a few pieces of advice along the way.
My story on the web is quite long and keeps going back and forth. Internet is an amazing place with thousands of opportunities. What's even crazier is that you can achieve almost everything without having to step one foot out of your house.
To be honest with you, I have no idea as of when I really started creating content. One thing for sure is that it was many years ago. When I was younger I was a lot into Jpop and Techpara : I started making dance videos, music videos, movies and even shows with my friends. We even built our own agency to manage our "artists" by creating a website and a YouTube channel. It was lots of fun! I was constently using my creativity and I started learning how to use video editing softwares as well as Photoshop and everything while I still was a young girl. I'm really grateful that I got to live somewhere and at a time that allowed me to do all of these.
Then this agency-thing started to fade out, I don't exactly remember why and how because it was a long time ago. An other turning point in my life was when I started watching beauty videos, even before it was really in. Then, the YouTuber who gave me the inspiration to start making content about beauty was Sylvia from Beautycakez. I enjoyed (and I still do) watching her videos, her fashion sense and makeup were always amazing me. However, I wasn't ready to show myself alone talking to a camera about a topic I wasn't even sure about. That's why I created my first blog where I talked about fashion and beauty. Then maybe a year later, I finally started a YouTube channel. While I was working on both, time was really missing. Life goes on and I started university. Managing both was becoming difficult and I kind of quited everything.
I absolutely love to create content to entertain people around fashion or beauty and of course it's constently in my mind. That's the reason why, a year ago, I decided to start my blog again but very seriously. I was comitted to it and I still am. Here is where I'm today and I'm proud of the work I achieved so far. I'm getting much better at developping content, working with brands and having amazing projects in my mind. However making videos is what I enjoy the most, it's me. Even if it gets me going crazy sometimes. One of my 2017 goals is to start my YouTube channel again but by being comitted to it, the same way as I'm to this blog.
Enough about me! Let's now focus on you and on how to make your blogging more succesful! Of course, the key is content. Write regularly on topics you like and are passionate about. Take your time and don't rush. I'm a huge believer that quality is better than quantity. Once you start getting more views, brands will contact you. However, most of the time, they don't even read your blog or when you're explaining your ideas, they just don't care. Of course, I'm not saying that all brands behave that way, but I don't want you to force yourself into being someone else. Write what you enjoy writing, share what you want to share and live your blogging life to the fullest!
Now is nomination time! I have to tag 15 bloggers, that's a lot isn't it? Here they are (lots of french bloggers)! Don't forget to check their blogs too, because they're doing an amazing job! I won't push you to do this tag, but if you feel like it goes well with your content then I would be really happy to read it!
